Synergy Studio on Lyall Bay
We are a boutique studio offering high quality pilates and yoga instruction
by certified practitioners, located in beautiful Lyall Bay overlooking the sea.
Our sanctuary studio space is warm, spacious, light filled and comfortable.
We offer a range of classes for all levels and abilities including yoga and
pilates mat classes and courses, and pilates studio classes which are
individually tailored to your needs and requirements.
Classes are run with limited numbers for maximum attention and feedback
to clients and can be taken privately or in a group.
We also offer weekend courses and workshops at the studio.
Pilates Mat Courses
Pilates mat courses run over a period of ten weeks. They’re a fabulous way
to enjoy doing your weekly pilates class in a social setting whilst improving
your flexibility, co - ordination, balance, posture, motor control, relaxation
and overall well-being. Duration: Fifty minutes
Beginner Mat Course
The beginner mat course familiarises participants with the principles,
vocabulary and fundamental exercises used in pilates. It explains correct
posture, breathing and movement control and introduces you to all the
benefits of pilates. If you’ve never done any pilates before, if you’d like to
try it for the first time, or if you are returning to pilates after a long break,
this is the course for you.
Intermediate/Advanced Mat Courses
In these classes, you’ll progress on to doing exercises which challenge and
stretch your body’s capacity, whilst building on the fundamental principles
and techniques you have learned in the beginner courses. Exercises will be
take you further away from the floor, challenging your core strength,
alignment and control. More exercises will be added to your repertory.
You’ll feel the benefits of these classes through improvements in spinal
mobility, stamina, fine muscle control, flexibility, balance and overall fitness
and strength which you can take away with you into your day.

Pilates Studio Classes
The Synergy studio is well equipped with four reformers, a trapeze table,
two chairs, two spine correctors and small equipment. The pilates studio
repertory consists of literally hundreds of exercises specifically and carefully
designed to work on and for your body. Classes are safe and effective for
all ages and abilities and are limited to maximum four clients giving you
optimal individual attention and tailor made programs.
Duration: 50 minutes
Private Classes
These one-on-one sessions allow the instructor to tailor the class to the
specific level, needs and goals of the client. Excellent for newbies to pilates,
or for people wanting to join a mat course or studio class. You’ll receive
individual attention and will be given tailor made pilates exercises on the
mat and equipment relevant to your needs and goals.
Duration: 60 minutes
Studio equipment classes can be attended once you have taken a minimum
of one private session with a Synergy teacher so we can assess you and
design the correct exercise program for you.
If you are wanting to join a mat course that has already started we request
that you take at least one private class with an instructor to assess your level
and place you in the correct mat class prior to joining the course.
A 24 hour
