Greg Colson Owner and Director

Greg took over Pilates Synergy from Sabine Margesin in November 2019.  Having previously taught weekend yoga classes in the space, Greg was immediately attracted to the studio—with its natural light and amazing views, he believes it’s the perfect environment to develop wellness and healing.
Greg has built a career around his passion for the holistic benefits of balancing mind, body and breath. A very experienced yoga teacher who trained in the UK, India and New Zealand, he is excited about building on the strong relationships Sabine established at the studio. Greg will continue to focus on pilates and also develop the space to support other forms of physical and mental wellness—further introducing yoga as well as workshops for meditation and qui gong. Faye Tohbyn
In 2009 Faye began her study/training in pilates to enrich both her personal and professional life.  Having an extensive background in dance and yoga, she was already familiar with pilates. The benefits received from doing her training have been so significant it has become an important part of her life. Sharing this with others has opened the door to Faye teaching  and she loves the opportunity to be part of  pilates Synergy Studio working the Synergy Team. Her most recent training was Mat Pilates - Heart and Bones Pilates with Tania Huddart.

Gabrielle Meech, Hypnotherapist
Feeling stuck? Ready for change? Hypnotherapy can help you move forward to a more expansive future where your conscious and subconscious minds are aligned and working towards the You you've always known you can be.

Gabrielle is a certified Rapid Transformational Therapist and a Certified Hypnotist. Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) has been proven to have significant quick shifts for people in many situations. In hypnotherapy you are able to let go of past beliefs and imprint your subconscious with new beliefs that support you. Your mind, body and spirit are linked, and what you say to your mind unconsciously has an extraordinary effect on all aspects of yourself; this can both harm and free you.

Call Gabrielle on 022 072 6582 for a free discovery call to discuss whether hypnotherapy could help you, or visit her website at www.gabriellemeechbeunlimited.com.

An RTT session can be organised at Synergy or locally. Gabrielle is also joining the Synergy team as a Yoga teacher.

Mayank

I was a teacher by profession and then pursued a career in music. In 1986 I travelled to India to understand the source of sound through meditation at the International Meditation Institute ( I.M.I ) and have lived there for over 30 years.
I have practised Hatha Yoga throughout my years in India & I am a certified Soma-Yoga teacher. I teach Somatic and Functional Movement at the I.M.I. I have also been awarded a Masters in Meditation and Yoga from Vishwa Unnyayan Samsad World Yoga Council, India.

I have found Somatic Movement a great means to enable people to rewire their movement patterns, that over time have limited their mobility and affected posture. This has led me to discover the emerging wave of primal movement science.

These classes are strongly based on Hanna Somatics, a gentle, deep movement practice to restore sensory motor awareness to our body. I also specialise in teaching Fundamental Movement to explore how primal movements of the body relate to opening new pathways in the brain. Most often when we are in pain or lacking mobility, we are stuck in patterns of sensory motor amnesia. This can be changed through relearning our movement patterns to reawaken dampened neural connections between our brain and our body.

Along with Somatic Movement I have been greatly inspired by the Original Strength® human movement education company and MovNat®. Also the writings and teachings of Katy Bowman and her Nutritional Movement/Restorative Exercise brand.

And most recently I have been studying the new wave of cutting edge neuroscience that is exploring the powerful benefits of training our vision, and other brain based exercises, that greatly impact our movement.

Linda Muollo

Otherwise known as the  “Movement Motivator,”  Linda weaves together her skills as a personal trainer and pilates instructor to find the perfect balanced workout for her clients. For Linda, pilates is a mind-body connection. While doing the various exercises, your mind needs to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way you move your body. Having never had much success with trying to meditate, she finds “meditation through pilates movement.”

Linda believes pilates is what you do to learn how to move well. When incorporated into a well-rounded fitness plan your body, clients reap the maximum benefits of workouts and positive movement patterns in everyday life. Linda is passionate about bringing groups of people and communities together to move and have fun in an inclusive supportive environment. When not in a studio environment you can find Linda leading community group fitness classes.
